Since information technology was written for the American board exams it is a little different to the Great britain exams - there are a lot of negatively written questions ("which of these options is not correct?" instead of "which option would be the best"), and there is a lot more enthusiasm for eponyms and mnemonics
I used this book to revise for the Uk neurology speciality document exam. It is generally a good book and I found it very helpful. There aren't any Uk specific equivalent books as our examination is relatively new.Since it was written for the American board exams it is a little different to the UK exams - there are a lot of negatively written questions ("which of these options is not right?" instead of "which pick would be the all-time"), and in that location is a lot more enthusiasm for eponyms and mnemonics than ane would find in the UK. Also there is more detail on neuro-oncology, neuro-ITU and neuro-paediatrics than Uk trainees would need to know.
Nevertheless, the capacity on stroke, epilepsy and headache were especially good. I besides very much liked the online question bank where you lot could prepare it up to give you a test, and so you lot could become some thought of how you were doing overall. The explanations were very useful, and there are some proficient diagrams particularly of the brachial plexus and sympathetic pathways which I am sure I am non alone in finding difficult to retain in the long-term memory!
There was ane question most atomic number 82 poisoning which referred to the patient'southward "very old" house, built in the 1920s. My house is older than that. This cheered me upwards enormously. Revision is rubbish. I am very pleased the exam is over.
Update: I passed the exam. Thank goodness for that. I'm sure this book helped a lot.

Easy to read and essential for board prep. I have both the digital and the book version- and the kindle version definitely lacks a few things. The color plates are absent which is important for the neuropathology type questions. At the end of each chapter are the "buzz words" but they are difficult to read probably due to the electronic conversion process. Overall, if yous had to buy one version- I would go with the difficult copy. Withal, having both versions are helpfu

Overall, if you had to buy 1 version- I would become with the hard copy. Nevertheless, having both versions are helpful, as with whatever question book, since having to turn the pages back and along can tedious down efficiency. Good luck on those studying for the boards!

The sections on Neuromuscular are probably the strongest - at that place are 3 chapters devoted to the topic!
